Happy Christmas everyone!

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a fun-filled New Year!

I have already spied a present for me which I am looking forward to getting my teeth into.  I'll post some pictures on here of the grand unripping, I mean unwrapping.

As usual L & C have been dressing me up and no doubt the Christmas jumper will be brought out later for me to wear.  You can see me below sporting my new Christmas bandana (all proceeds to the Doodle Trust).  It is ever so smart and it is double sided... (yes I am about to bark in the second photo as they took soooooo long to take the photo!)

Plus look what we found underneath the Christmas tree - Santa Barbara and Elfsie (after the photo was taken they drove off down the street with 'Oh I wish it could be Christmas everyday' blaring from the truck. The crowds were 10 deep!)

Happy Halloween

I was a bit too tired to post this last night, but Happy Halloween everyone.

I got in the spirit (pardon the pun) by dressing up and looking scary, but I was soon worn out and decided to hang up my meat cleaver until next year.....

That'll learn her!

L took me up to the hillock yesterday and it was pawtastic!

It was my first off lead walk all week and running around with the wind flapping my ears was brilliant!

It was all going so well until I turned around and L was crumpled up on the ground...honestly I take my eyes off her for one minute and bam she is on the floor!

Apparently, she had been trying to upload this photo of me to Facebook and she wasn't looking where she was going and fell down a rabbit hole.  It sounds like she went down hard as she has been saying all morning she feels bashed up (tsk, what can you do with them!)

Running free

On the mend...

Just a quick pupdate to let you all know I am on the mend.

The swelling in my face has gone down so I am back to my beautiful self and I have been enjoying all the home cooked meals I have been given.  The vet said I need to have a 'white food' diet, so L & C have been cooking me chicken, fish, pasta and rice and I have also had some natural yogurt dolloped on top (a personal favourite!).

I am on restricted exercise for a few days, so just lead walks, but last night I was feeling better so I had a doodle dash around the pool table, but it might have been a mistake as it did me in!

Think I will take it easy today.

Snoozing doodle

I'm not well!

I am poorly.....and feeling very sorry for myself.  I have been to the vets three times in as many days and I have been prodded and poked everywhere!

I have gastroenteritis and had to go to the vet hospital yesterday to have an x-ray to make sure I didn't have an object in my tummy (just because I have previous form for swallowing things such as gloves and dirty nappies.....I don't see why it was necessary!).  Anyway they sedated me and made me feel very drunk and then gave me lots of different drugs to make me feel better.
Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to one of the drugs and my face puffed up like a pumpkin (and it isn't even halloween for another week!).  I was given another drug to reduce the swelling, but it was still there this morning so off we went to the vets again and apparently I need lots of rest, drugs and nice food like chicken or fish (that is the only good part of this whole saga).  The drugs are making me very wobbly and sleepy so I am off for a nap now.

No laughing please at the following photos:

Yesterday - very swollen around the chops

Today - still puffed up and very wobbly!

A cake gift from the gods!

We have been on our holidays again to the lovely Southwold in Suffolk.  I can't express how brilliant it is with lovely beaches, great walks, fantastic pubs and a cosy cottage.

Sunday was particularly magic when a pain au chocolat was given to me.....ok, I tell a small white lie....I did steal it from a couple sat on the beach, but I could just tell they would find it funny, which they did!
After much apologising and offering of money by L & C we continued along the beach and there, as if it had fell down from heaven, was a five pack of custard doughnuts!  Admittedly they were very close to a man and his two sons, but surely they were up for grabs - which is exactly what I did.  C gave chase and got the bag off me before I even had the chance to try one, darn it!  The man wasn't quite so happy as the previous couple, but his two sons were doubled over laughing so that's ok then.

Here are some photos of our hols:

The water gang

While the weather has been so warm I have been going swimming quite a lot which as you all know is one of my favourite past times (as well as eating, stealing, clowning around etc).

Here's a photo of me and fellow water boys Tommy and Alfie:

And the gang having a run and a dip (yes I am trying to drink the whole pond!):

A tasty spot of lunch

I was out with F and Alfie and the gang on a lovely jaunt when there in front of me was a gift from the heavens....a rabbit (which Alfie had kindly taken care of the day before).

I grabbed it quick before the others did and then I was off, there was no catching me until my lunch had been devoured from it's ears to it's tail.

I must admit it was very filling and I struggled to eat my dinner that evening (but of course I managed it).  Then I got L and C up in the night as I needed to...shall we say...go to the bathroom (or the garden in my case).

It was definitely worth the tummy ache I had and I will be keeping my eyes peeled for future gifts from the heavens.

Corn dog

The farmer has been growing corn up on the hillock where we walk and it is great fun to run in and out of it, especially if there is another dog chasing me.

So much fun

But is has now been cut (boo), though check out the view!

Giant haystacks!

Evil Edna is 14!

Mini (aka Evil Edna) turned 14 years old at the start of the month.  I don't see her very often as she isn't very keen on playing with me (I have no idea why...'chase' is a brilliant game to play).

Here are some photos of the birthday girl

Looking at ghosties

Look at the face on that!

Disco cat!

One cool pooch

Recently the weather has been very, very warm and I get a bit hot under the collar, so L & C bought me this brilliant cool mat.  It is pawtastic and cools me down really quickly.  Though they often have their feet on it so I think I need to get in quick before they use it!

Fun in the sun

We have been having a splashing time in all this hot weather.  I got to do my favourite past time of C throwing pebbles into the water and me swimming to retrieve them - though I haven't got one yet as they have always disappeared when I get to them! Pesky things!

Doggy dash

L and C took me to Pride Dog show at the weekend and they entered me into the Doggy Dash.  I had to run towards C as fast I could (the time to beat was 3.6 seconds!).  So L held my collar and then I was off running as fast as I could....but not quick enough I'm afraid - 4.7 seconds.  But I got a certificate (which L has proudly put on the fridge) and a toy bunny.  Below are the 'before' and 'after' photos....poor bunny!

There's a voice that keeps on calling me...

L & C took me to a new place for walkies - Ashdown Forest.  It was paw-tastic and it was a hot day, but I managed to sniff out all the water holes and mud holes for a cool down along the way.

Just call me Bond....James Bond

I have been to a great James Bond themed party at L and S's house.  Don't I look dashing?!

Uggers the cat was there so I tried to get him to play, but he just wanted to go to sleep on top of the bin and however much I barked at him he stayed put (nothing like Mini-cat at home)

I also had lots of lovely food including beef, sausages and a little bit of ice cream - yum!  Then a walk over the park where I headed straight into the river for a cool down.

Not sure what the theme of next years party will be...but it is bound to be good!

Catch of the day - squirrel!

I got it! I got it!

Unfortunately it was just lying there in my toy box so not too much effort on my part, but I still caught it!

5 year anniversary!

L and C collected me just over five years ago (11th July 2009) and brought me home to what I like to call the 'fun house'.
I have kept them on their toes with lots of stealing (including pants, socks, cushions, mobile phones, knives!), raided picnics wherever possible, constant counter surfing and I have even managed to turn on the gas twice!
There has been a lot of swearing in this house, but I have also created lots of laughter!

Last trott in the park

I have been going to work with C ever since I can remember, but she now has a great new job nearer home so I will be going out with F for walks more often, which will be wooftastic!

Here are some photos of my last day at 'work' (it is a hard life, running around such a beautiful park)

Then C took me for a cooling dip (well sort of a swim) in the river - pawtastic!

A whole world of adventure

L & C headed to Chessington World of Adventures to try out the big rides.  I would have loved them all!

The first one was Rameses Revenge which tipped them upside down and lowered them into fountains

Plus they were spun round on the Cobra ride

But then they felt a bit queasy on the pirate ship so they opted for a change of pace on a monster truck Zoofari where they saw giraffes and rhinos

And finally a wander around the SeaLife centre, including a walk through an underwater tunnel

There were a couple of stiff necks for a few days, but they assure me it was worth it!
